The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the financial and administrative operations of the college. This includes overseeing the colleges’ finances, events, and facilities.
Suzanne McDermott is the Operations Manager for Benjamin Franklin College. Prior to assuming her role at Benjamin Franklin College, Suzanne spent ten years working for Yale Facilities.
A graduate of Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!), Suzanne spent her career before to coming to Yale in IT in the financial services industry. Suzanne resides with her husband, a special education administrator, and her two children, Daniel, a senior in high school, and Caroline, a freshman in high school , on the shoreline, where she is a Parks and Recreation Commissioner for her town. She is an avid ice hockey/gymnastics/ softball/volleyball mom.
In her free time, Suzanne can be found at Fenway Park or Cape Cod or running 5Ks with the college. She recently completed her first half marathon and is now training for a full marathon.
