Facilities Superintendent
Kirsta MacLellan Kirsta has worked at Yale University for over 25 years and is currently the Facilities Superintendent of Benjamin Franklin College and Pauli Murray College. Kirsta has enjoyed working in Yale’s Residential Colleges for over 13 years. Before joining the residential colleges, Kirsta worked for Robert A.M. Stern, former Dean of Yale’s School of Art & Architecture, whose firm, R.A.M.S.A., designed Yale’s two new residential colleges. Kirsta received a B.S. in Social Work from SCSU. Her personal passions include interior design, animal rights, Nantucket as well as continuous support of the Humane Society of the United States and the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Kirsta resides in Madison, CT with her husband. |
Hospitality General Manager
Jennifer Currier Jenn started working in the Hospitality Industry at age 15, catering many types of events that lead to Catering Sales, Cooking and Catering prep. From there she worked in the contract food service environment. She then worked for 10 years at Fairfield University and then 4 years at the University of Bridgeport. She branched out into the Sports and Entertainment sector of contracted Food Service and became the General Manager of a minor league baseball stadium, and then 2 years working at an outdoor amphitheater where she had the amazing opportunity to experience 66 live concerts. Jenn joined Yale Hospitality August of 2018, and has worked as the dining manager at Pierson and Silliman College before moving to Benjamin Franklin College in August of 2019. She is proud to say that Benjamin Franklin College is her home and loves everything about being here. Jenn is a single mom to two amazing sons who make her so proud every day. Her son Dyllon just turned 18 and spends his free time playing baseball. Her son Jake is 15 and spends his time playing hockey and lacrosse. Jenn says that “I love being able to watch them love what they do”. |
Grounds Master GardnerRay McCarthy Ray has been working at Yale since 1991. He has worked on Science Hill, Central Campus, Athletics, and the golf course. Ray oversees a team of 5 who beautifully care for the grounds at Franklin, Murray and Yale properties on Prospect Street from Sachem upto Edwards Street. Ray lives in Wallingford with his wife and black lab named Maverick. He has a daughter named Madyson. |
